Cardi B On The Grammy Awards: "I've Already Won"
"It feels good because I really worked my ass. And's as it will eventually pay. I've been proven."
60 Annual Grammy Awards don't air until January 28, but the Bronx rapper/Grammy-nominated Cardi B is already considered a winner.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, Cardi was asked if she is nervous about the ceremony of the Grammys. She explained that she is nervous, but is already proud of everything she has accomplished.
Cardi landed nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, both for his most recent success, "Bodak Yellow".
"I'm nervous," Cardi B said. "You want to know something? I already feel like a winner. Because I never thought that I. I have already gained. That is good ... It feels good because I really worked my ass. And it is like that eventually pays. I've been proven."
And for those who expect the Cardi swift glow-up will result in lavish gifts under the tree this year, she revealed that she is only the purchase of Christmas gifts for the children.
"Everyone that I know that there are children," he said. "And it's like a bunch of guys. And I have new godkids out of nothing. You know that once you start to earn money all over the world want to be the boy's godmother."
Cardi also spoke about his relationship with the Offset, and the origins of his rap name.
