Dr. Dre May Release "Detox" After All
It all went down during a Golden State Warriors practice with Jimmy Iovine.
Oakland, CA – Dr. Dre has been working on the almost mythical Detox album from the year 2002. In an episode of the HBO series The Defiant Ones, the Beats Electronics brain essentially deaded the possibility of that ever comes to light. But that could change.
During a recent Golden State Warriors practice, Dre and his business partner Jimmy Iovine were seen by EPSN's Chris Haynes.
Haynes, according to reports, asked him if Detox would ever see the light of day.
Dre responded, "I'm working on a couple of songs for now. Let's see."

In 2014, the producer Dewaun Parker said Dre scrapped the project in favor of another album, while the L. A. Weekly really detailed the album of the story in 2015.
In the above-mentioned The Defiant Ones episode, which aired last July, Dre said, "I have never had any relationship with [Detox], it didn't work."
He added, "I'm never going to do that again."
Several leaks from the project have emerged in the last few years, but only time will tell if the full length of the editing becomes a reality.
