Drake is Mourning the Loss Of OVO Affiliate Fif After Shooting
"I still can't even think that this morning was real."
This week, Drake and members of OVO Sound are mourning the sudden death of his friend and OVO Sound affiliate, Anthony "Fif" Soares.
According to a news report, the 33-year-old was shot several times at point-blank range after entering the lobby of a building in Scarborough, in Toronto, in the early hours of Thursday (September 14). According to reports he was approached by two suspects armed with guns.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Fif the death was also confirmed by a childhood friend on Facebook (identified as a Soares), and via an Instagram post made on Thursday by Drake. The Canadian rhymer shared a photo of Fif, and provided the following caption:
"RIP to one of our family members...our brother... I still can't believe that this morning was real. It was an honor to have shared years together and will always keep your memory alive Forever, Fif"

While Fif may have been one of the least known OVO Sound affiliate, was recently name-dropped by Drake in the rapper More Life record of "Not Talking".
"I only know man as Fif is, he is a sickaz/ he tanned, he does not miss tings," Drake hit it in the registry.
Fif's latest Instagram post, which was uploaded on the 12th of September, is filled with comments of those who offered their condolences.
