"Friends" Co-Creator And Other Non-TIDAL, Subscribers Can Now See JAY-Z's "Moonlight" Video
Damn the TIDE of the subscription.
JAY-Z's visual for the 4:44 single, "light of Moon" has been out for a while, but Friends co-creator David Crane has not yet been seen. The Friends-inspired music video was released exclusively through the TIDES, the 4th of August.
On Friday (11 August), a week after its initial release, the video has made its way to YouTube and all that are not of the TIDES, the subscribers can now see. Until now, the visual has amassed close to 700,000 views.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Crane is mentioned that he does not have a subscription to TIDAL, alluding that it was the reason that he had not seen the video.
"I don't have TIDE," Crane said. "I'm happy that the show is part of the cultural zeitgeist after all these years."
Directed by Master of None co-creator Alan Yang, "light of Moon" stars around a black cast — Issa Rae, Hannibal Buress, Tiffany Haddish, Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Jerrod Carmichael, and Lil Rel Howery.
