Hip Hop Week In Review: Tay-K, Floyd Mayweather, And Lil B

HipHopDX – This week in Hip Hop, a judge took the decision that up-and-coming rapper Tay-K is going to be tried as an adult for murder. Floyd Mayweather defeated UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor in the boxing and the Hip Hop community rejoiced in their victory. Finally, in response to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey caused in Houston, Lil B announced he would be giving away a verses to Houston rappers.

The Disease Of Tay-K To Be Tried As An Adult

17, the Tay-K is going to be tried as an adult for capital murder, a Texas judge decided Wednesday (August 30). His court date has been pushed back, however, due to the lack of evidence.

The Texas rapper, born Taymor McIntyre, first gained widespread notoriety in the Hip-Hop with their single "Race", which has accumulated millions of visits during the summer. The song recently peaked at #48 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Floyd Mayweather Defeats Conor McGregor

Floyd "Money" Mayweather defeated UFC star Conor McGregor on Saturday night (26 August) on the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, in a fight to maintain his perfect boxing record, which currently stands at 50-0.

The Hip-Hop community praised Mayweather for his victory, with big names like Sean "Diddy" Combs, Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli and Krayzie Bone showing love to the boxer.
