Ice-T To Host FOX's "Who Shot Biggie And Tupac?" Special Investigation
A never-before-released audio recording of Biggie talking about Tupac shooting will be unveiled during the two-hour event.
The unsolved murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B. I. G. will be released under the spotlight once more, when FOX airs its investigation of the crime special Who Shot Biggie And Tupac? in the next month.
The two-hour broadcast, which will be released on the 24th of September, is organized by Ice-T and the award-winning documentary filmmaker Soledad O'brien.
The special will reportedly reveal new details about the two investigations. Also features interviews with former private investigators, police officers, informers, and Hip-Hop insiders, including Doug E. Fresh, Funkmaster Flex, and currently incarcerated Suge Knight.
Two of the two legendary MCs' best friends — E. D. I. Mean & Lil' Cease — will appear together on camera to talk about the friendship between Tupac and Biggie, and their subsequent precipitation as well. In addition, never-before-published audio recording of Biggie speaking of Shakur's recording was unveiled.
Who Shot Biggie And Tupac? serves as another documentary about the two high-profile murders. Murder Rap: Inside Biggie And Tupac Murders was released in February of 2016, which highlighted the work of retired police detective Greg Kading. The documentary is based on Kading's 2011 book, Murder Rap: Inside Biggie And Tupac Murders.
Kading's work is also being used for the USA Network's the next script real drama of the crime unsolved, which is Straight Outta Compton actor Marcc Rose playing Shakur and rookie Wavyy Jonez in the role of Biggie Smalls.
