JAY-Z Recreates "Friends" Of "claro de Luna" Video With the Help Of Issa Rae & Lil Rel Howery

How many of us have them?

JAY-Z has dropped a new video for "the light of the Moon," one of the 10 tracks (or 13 when speaking of the physical copy) of his famous 4:44 album.

Booting with a fragment of Whodini's "Friends", the stellar matter is based on the long running sitcom, Friends. Find the appearances of Insecurity actor Issa Rae, Exit of breakout star Lil Rel Howery, comedian Jerrod Carmichael, Atlanta, Lakeith Stanfield, Girls Ride star Tiffany Haddish, Tessa Thompson and, last but not least, Hannibal Buress.

The song does not start until the end of the visual, when Carmichael realizes that not everything is what it seems in the sample as a whole. He escapes out of the side door, where you take the sun in the light of the moon as audio from the infamous 2017 Oscar error brings the video. (The, The, the Land was announced as the winner for the Best film by mistake, but in reality it was the Barry Jenkins-directed the light of the Moon, which won the honor.)

"We're stuck in The Land/ Even when we win, we lose/ We have the same fuckin' flows/ I don't know who is who," Hov raps over a sample from Teena Marie "Ooo La La La" (the famous phrase used in The Fugees' "Fu-Gee-La").

The "Moonlight" TIDE exclusive comes on the same day that leave was apparently considered the most profitable film of 2017 (so far), with $217 million in earnings and a 630 percent return on investment (ROI).
