The unarmed college student was murdered on October 17, 2010 in Boston.

JAY-Z, Rihanna, Pharrell and Mary J. Blige are among a number of celebrities to demand justice for the murder of an unarmed black man a decade ago. Danroy "DJ" Henry, a 20 year old from Boston who attend New York city Pace University, was fatally shot by a white Westchester police officer in 2010, but the man responsible was not charged.

In a letter sent to the Attorney General of the united states William Barr this week, the Department of Justice is urged to reopen the investigation. "The facts support this request, the right of all, but requires, and justice demands that," reads the letter..centered-ad {

The Department of Justice is asked to look if the pattern of discrimination of the official led to the death of Henry. "If it did — deliver the justice that restores this young man's name and reputation, while giving hope to other young black people who are like him and desperate for a change," the letter continues.
