Lamar and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith are the curation and production of the blockbuster Marvel's entire soundtrack.
TDE is looking to expand its inauguration in 2018, with Kendrick Lamar and SZA dropping new music as part of a major film partnership announcement.
The song is the first single of Marvel's Black Panther the soundtrack of the film, which will be curated and produced by Lamar and TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. Director Ryan Coogler (who directed Creed and Fruitvale Station) selected Lamar specifically and worked with him and Tiffith in the soundtrack.
In a press release, Lamar spoke about the project.
"Marvel Studios' Black Panther is incredible, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film shows a great marriage of art and culture. I really am honored to contribute with my knowledge of sound production and the writing of the music along with Ryan and the Wonder of the vision."
The full tracklist and release date have not yet been announced.
Black panther hits theaters on the 16th of February.
Kendrick Lamar won DX, 2017 Rap Album Of the Year, while SZA was won by R&B Album Of the Year, so yes, we are very excited about this.
