Lil B Says he's Working With Nas "very Soon"

DXclusive: The BasedGod spoke to DX about working with Nasir Jones and "Wild Thoughts" director Colin Tilley.

Inglewood,CA – In 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 27), HipHopDX caught up with Lil B, and music video director Colin Tilley in black-and-white of the carpet. While standing next to Tilley, the polarizing Hip-Hop figure said he had something in the works with Nas.

"Shout out to Nas man, we're going to do a real job soon," The BasedGod said DX.

Tilley earned five nominations at that night for his work on DJ Khaled's "Wild Thoughts," the Future of the "Mask" and Kyle "iSpy" with Lil Yachty. His first music video was with Lil B for the year 2009 "we Can go Down."

"We know from 10 years ago, man," Tilley said. "We're both in Berkeley, California. I did my first music video ever with Lil B the BasedGod and here we are again. We're going to drop some crazy visuals for the Black Ken. Wow! It's going down."

Launched in early August, Black Ken is Lil B's first mixtape since it dropped 2015-Free (Free Base Mixtape) with the Possibility of the Rapper and Thugged Out Pissed off.

Since then, he appeared in Clams Casino big label debut, of 32 Levels, and, subsequently, went on tour with the producer in support of the album.

During our short time with Lil B (real name Brandon McCartney), spoke about the positive response to Black Ken.

"I just dropped a classic Hip Hop album [Black Ken]," Lil B said. "Debuted #1 on iTunes. I haven't dropped music in two years. I'm coming!"

There is No doubt Lil B has influenced some of the popular artists.

Every one of Lil Yachty and Kendrick Lamar to 9th Wonder and Danny Brown have given props to the former member of The herd.
