LL Cool J Is a Rapper To Get 2018 Rock Hall Nomination

The list of 2018 candidates on the campaign for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction has come up with 19 candidates. LL Cool J is the only Hip Hop act amongst artists such as Rage against The Machine, Kate Bush, Radiohead and Nina Simone.
The pioneering "Rock The Bells", the rapper has been nominated several times for the honor.
To be eligible for nomination, an artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of induction. In consequence, the 2018 nominees had the launch of its first official recording no later than 1992.
The Queens MC's debut album, Radio, was released on Def Jam Recordings in 1985, making him an ideal candidate. During the course of his musical career, he is pumped out 13 studio albums and two compilation albums. He appeared in the cult classic Hip Hop movie Krush Groove in 1985 and his first official performance was in the film Wildcats with the actress Goldie Hawn the following year. Since then, he has appeared in dozens of films and television programs.
In August, it was announced the Mr. Cool James will become the first rapper honored by the Kennedy Center, in its December 3 ceremony in Washington, D.C. The ceremony will be broadcast December 26 on CBS.
More than 900 artists, historians and members of the music industry from around the world will receive ballots to vote in the 2018 Rock Hall inductees and once again, fans can also vote online.
From 5 October to 5 December, fans can visit the website to cast votes for the majority of artists that deserve it.
The list of 2018, the honorees will be announced in the month of December. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2018 Induction ceremony will go down in Cleveland, Ohio on April 14.
