Lute Drops Dreamville Debut "West 1996 Pt. 2"

The Dreamville signee also shares the video for the album's opener, "Morning Shift."

Dreamville/Interscope Records artist Lute has doubled down with two new Friday (September 29) released — a video for "Morning Shift" and his Dreamville full-length debut, West 1996, Pt. 2.

With 11 tracks, the album is the production from beatsmiths like Shiggy, Elite and Save Allen, and guest vocals from fellow Dreamville artists EarthGang, Cam Or bi, GQ Sacrifice, Hello I am Ry and Elevator Jay.

"This project is an accumulation of the chapters and the events that led to Dreamville signing me", Charlotte, North Carolina native, said in a press release. "It is a window in the last five years of my life...the obstacles, the challenges, the changes. It is also the motivation to not let people or circumstances define who you are. My only competition is the person I was yesterday. I have been a patient and very grateful to this platform and now its time to show what I'm capable of doing."
