Martin Shkreli, the Auction of Wu-Tang "once Upon a Time In Shaolin" — If He doesn't break First

Martin Shkreli says that he could also "break this album out in frustration."

It seems that Wu-Tang Clan coveted once Upon a Time In Shaolin album could be in the process of exchanging hands.

Martin Shkreli, the infamous ex-pharmaceutical exec in possession of the album, that he bought for $2 million in December of 2015, has been listed on eBay. As of the publication of Wednesday's (September 6), the last bid was around $100,000 and continues to grow rapidly.

In a description for sale, Shkreli makes reference to your problems with the Wu-Tang.

He also claims that before the sale is final, you can end up breaking once Upon a Time In Shaolin out of frustration.

"I decided to buy this album as a gift to the Wu-Tang Clan for their big musical production," Shkreli wrote. "Instead, I received the contempt of at least one of your (less intelligent) members, and the world in general failed to see my purpose to put in a serious value behind the music. I'll be curious to see if the values of the world of the music almost as much as I do...anytime I can cancel this sale and you can even break this album out in frustration."

Given that Shkreli first gained notoriety by hiking the price of a drug against HIV, there is a certain irony in the fact that he plans to donate half of the proceeds from the sale of once Upon a Time In Shaolin for medical research.

"I'm going to donate half of the proceeds of the sale to the medical research," he wrote. "I am not for sale to raise cash—in my business and I have record amounts of cash on hand. I hope someone with a bigger heart for music can be found for this one-of-a-kind piece and makes it available for the world to hear."

This latest news surrounding once Upon a Time In Shaolin comes weeks after Shkreli touched a part of the album during a livestream.

Martin Shkreli of the eBay auction is scheduled to end on September 15.

He is awaiting sentencing, after being convicted of fraud charges in the month of August.
