Netflix Announces "Bright" Sequel Of The Movie Starring Will Smith

Bad news for the critics who hated the original.

Netflix has announced a sequel to his hit fantasy film, the Shining, starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton. The news was confirmed on the film's official Twitter account on Wednesday (3 January.)

While there is no word on the release date or any plot details, reports state that Smith and Edgerton is going to repeat their roles from the original film. David Ayer will direct and write the script.

The $ 90 million budget thriller holds the title of being the majority of streaming movies on Netflix to an international level. Bright was released on the 22 of December and won 11 million streams in its first three days, breaking the record for views within a week of the opening of a Netflix original movie.

Despite being a fan favorite, critics were very negative about the film. A review of the so-called "incredibly bad", while another said it was "visually grotesque, terribly boring and hopelessly complicated." Chance The Rapper even took to Twitter to the state of the film with the representation of racism was "superficial" and stating that she felt "cheated."
