Nick Cannon & Dr. Dre Host 'Feed Your City' Food Giveaway In Compton

'The Masked Singer' host was on deck at the event and called for 'Unity' and 'Peace on Earth.'

Compton, CA – Dr. Dre and Nick Cannon are among the many celebrities putting their money and time to good use as part of the Feed Your City Challenge. The food giveaway event took place in Compton, California on Sunday (November 22) with sponsorship from Dre, Suave House Records CEO Tony Draper and retired NBA star Ricky Davis.

Cannon was on deck taking photos and videos with the excited crowd as music bumped in the background, a marching band got down on the drums and people danced all over the nearby basketball court..centered-ad {

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks were heavily present, there was a one-lane drive-thru and another line for walk-up and social distancing was in practice as much as possible — of course, unless Cannon was posing for a photo with some of his fans.

As Cannon was leaving, he was asked what he wanted for Christmas and he replied, “Unity. Peace on Earth.”

People in need were able to get a plethora of free groceries, including turkeys for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. This year’s giveaway also included Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help keep families safer from the coronavirus.
