Nicki Minaj Cuts Meek Mill Line "You Already Know"
Fans noticed a small change to Fergie's new song once the official version dropped.
It is safe to say that the Hip Hop couple Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill did not end their relationship on the best of terms.
Meek allegedly fed Remy Ma info from her ex for his "SHEther" diss track (although later denied), and the pair has traded subliminal and not so subliminal disses on Instagram.
More recently, Nicki changed a line in his verse on Fergie's new "you Know" a song that originally referred to him.
An early version of the song, which will appear on Fergie's upcoming Double album, Dutchess, leaked back in July, and that originally led to the line of "Damn I have not seen Meek Mill-and in a week". Minaj has dropped the reference to her ex-husband completely and simply changed it to "Damn, you don't see Young Nicki in a week."
The official audio of the new track was released last week (August 24).
Despite the numerous references to her ex and their relationship in his July album, Wins And Losses, Meek said Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning, "I can be in a positive, adult man, get-to-the-money type of environment," adding, "What can you do? You are going to be Instagramming and tweeting and throwing, shooting, detonations of shit forever?"
Fergie's Double Dutchess album comes out on the 22nd of September.
