Rihanna Thinks Diplo Music Sounds Like A Song of Reggae In An Airport

Revered producer Diplo, who has worked with everyone from the Future to Madonna, recently admitted that there is an artist in his radar he just can't the earth — Rihanna. In an interview with GQ magazine, Major Lazer's brain said: "I just want her on a Major Lazer song. She is like the artist that we can't reach."
He also mentioned that he had not been able to get her in the song "lean", which appeared on the Major Lazer 2015 EP, they don't Know Better. Instead, he enlisted in the army singer MØ.

According to Diplo, that's because RiRi thinks his music sounds like something played at the airport. Diplo attempted to reproduce the beauty of Barbados on a track during a session with the Future, the Weeknd, and Metro boomin, but she was not having it.
"I was so contact high," Diplo said. "The future played with it, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, 'Yo, G, I'm going to leave unless you let me play your song.' So I put in a song. And she was like, 'This sounds like a song of reggae in an airport [laughs].' I was like, 'I'm going to go kill myself.'"
He said that he believed that he would eventually posse on a track in the future, but, he added, "If you don't, I don't care." (He cares.)
