The Protesters Time Ludacris' "Move Bitch" Anti-Trump " Battle Cry
Get out of the way.
Atlanta, GA – American history, from the War of Independence to the civil rights movement, has been created for the soundtrack of protest songs.
The anti-Trump movement now has a new, and especially catchy, the chorus — and we all have Ludacris, thanks.
Marching through the streets of Ludacris' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, the demonstrators paid tribute to one of Ludacris ' most iconic tracks... while adding his own anti-Trump spin. The protesters in the streets shouting, "Move, Trump! Get out of the way," a game of Luda the famous "Move, bitch! Get out of the way!" hook in the 2002 hit "Move Bitch."
AJC.com estimated that there were around 2,000 protesters who took part in the running of the centre Martin Luther King, Jr. of the tomb.
The month of march in Atlanta was one of many that took place across the country this weekend in response to a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that led to the death of Heather Heyer, an anti-racism protesters on 12 August.
Trump, the ambiguity, the condemnation of the neo-Nazis, and white supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan has been seen as emboldening the racists around the country — and turned it into a prime target for songs like this.
In his own Instagram account, Ludacris does not shy away from the new use of their music, sharing a video of those who marched alongside the caption "#MoveTrump."
