The Yam Day 2018 Shut Down After Violence Erupts
Can't we just get along?
The yam Day 2018 is supposed to be a celebration of the life of a$AP Yams, the a$AP Mob co-founder, who passed away in the year 2015 of a drug overdose. Instead, the violence erupted during the night of Thursday (January 18) show, and the event was prematurely shut down.

Once the fight started, videos soon began to circulate. Some concert attendees claimed there was a shooting, while others said the controversial rapper from Brooklyn Tekashi 6ix9ine was stabbed. But the "Gummo" viral sensation quickly dismissed the rumors.
"I had nothing to do with me," he said in a video. "Thank you all for the thoughts ... it had nothing to do with me. I was not in any fight. My hair still attached. It is permanent. I got into any altercation. There is No fight. Nothing happened. You can see my face. Not throw me. Not me to stabbed. Stop making up stories. Ya'll wants something that's happened to me so badly. Why so much hate in this world? Ya'll niggas are so crazy."
And he concluded, "It's bigger than I am."
Tekashi, then hit Instagram to reiterate that he had nothing to do with the altercation.
"This is not about me, it is about the YAM", he wrote in the caption. "People are always going to mix my name with something. This is the internet and this is what comes with the fame. All I can do is sit here and explain things to the guys. I had nothing to do with tonight's disaster. I went to live and published, so that you can see. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME THIS DAY IS FOR YAMS.. Nothing but love and condolences as soon as possible."
