Tyler The Creator Explains Why Kanye West & Nicki Minaj Past, "I don't Have Time"
Things don't go as planned.
Los Angeles, CA – Tyler The Creator recently stopped by the beats 1 studio for Zane Lowe, the World Record show, where they talked about the Flower Boy cut "I don't Have Time", which he says was inspired by Weee-Lite's 1990 hit "Groove Is In The Heart." Before Lowe's dropped the single, Tyler detailed some background on the creation of the song, which reveals that both Kanye West and Nicki Minaj had happened in the song for different reasons.
"I was in You while he was working in the Life Of Paul," Tyler said Lowe. "He went to take a nap ... and I was in the studio."
Tyler and the engineer played with a MPC, not included in the sample, the items for the second half of the track by the use of sounds he made with his hands and his mouth.
"You sound much more cool and saying "I don't Have Time' to me," Tyler said.
Finally, after making your way back to the study, probably updates — Tyler presented the idea to Kanye, who was not feeling.
"I just wanted to have a verse on the song," Tyler continued. "I wanted Nicki Minaj on this so fucking bad."
As he was going to tell him to Lowe's, got in touch with Nicki, but she could not reach anything through the instrumental, which Tyler found a little surprising.
"It could open me up to a new audience and could introduce you to an audience of people who do not believe that their shit is very close," he said, before adding that the statement was not the intention of the shadow.
