Ugly God has established a rap career thanks to his comedic content, but it seems that he wants to be much more than a joker. In an extensive post on Snapchat, The Spoils of Tape rapper detailed why he plans to add more substance to their music.
"I spoke with one of the smartest guys I have ever met in my life and he helped me come to my senses," he wrote. "While my 'kidding-around' songs are fun to make and that I am creating any kind of substance or brand. I just want to bring to the light that I am very versitle [sic], but I was scared to show my versitity [sic] during all this time because I didn't want to get into this position I am now because of my versitility [sic]. I felt like if I did show my versitility [sic], the people would stop fucking with me, but if people actually DID shit with me that I was going to respect what I have to do, regardless of what angle I try to approach."
The native of Houston shows a bit of self-knowledge that is rare in the rap game, taking note of how volatile your career is at this point. Ultimately, he is very concerned about being dismissed as nothing more than "the funny guy" in Hip Hop.
"My career is just at the limit unstable right now and almost anything can happen to ruin," he continued. "I feel like I'm on the edge of a permanent way of being taken as a joke and that he was going to be the downfall of my career. There have been many people that have come and gone, and I refuse to be one of them."

"In conclusion, I will no longer hide behind this brand silhouette [sic] I have created out of fear," he wrote. "While I have started many rides and inspiration for many people, the most intelligent and safe thing for me is to make my mark and not to be taken as a fucking joke."
