Vic Mensa Disses DJ Akademiks As He the Bodies of Kendrick Lamar's "HiiiPoWer" Beat

"Like Frank Sinatra I did it my way/ Never needs a verse from JAY-Z or Kanye."

New York, NY – In support of their new album, The Autobiography, Vic Mensa stopped by Sway In The Morning, where the Chicago native spit lyrical bullets over Kendrick Lamar's "HiiiPoWer" beat. All freestyle, he touched topics such as the Wonder of the death, the gentrification, the fame, Pimp C, the penal system and violence in Chicago. At 3:05 minutes, the Roc Nation signee slides into a bit of a diss aimed at DJ Akademiks, calling the Fight every day to co-host "Wackademiks."

The former graffiti artist and recovering addict got into it with Akademiks in June, when Mensa was a guest on the Daily Struggle. After Ak brought the Chicago music scene, Mensa said that he wanted to "slap" him in the face, before you accuse Ak of "clowning around" situations of violence chicagoans spend in real life.

Check out the freestyle and the Daily Struggle of the previous interview.
